IMD3 Travel
Awards
Six awards of $500 each will be awarded to students
or trainees of IMD3 faculty who wish to present their work at a national,
international, or regional conference. These awards are not intended to
cover the entire cost of attending the conference, and should be
supplemented from other sources.
There will be three deadlines for applications:
October 3 ,
February 1, and June 1. Two awards will be given in response to each
deadline.
- The eligibility criteria for selection
are:
=Must be a current student or trainee (e.g. postdoctoral
fellow) of IMD3 faculty.
=Must be the primary presenter
(talk or poster) of an abstract at the meeting.
=Only one award
per student/trainee per year.
=Faculty may sponsor only one
student/trainee per deadline.
Selection of awardees will be made by the IMD3
Travel Awards Committee, and will be based on the merits of the research
being presented, the benefits derived by attendance at the meeting, and
evaluation of letters from the applicant and the mentor (see below).
The Committee reserves the right to alter the
amount or number of awards. In the event that a
member of the Committee has a conflict of interest regarding an applicant,
an alternate who will be appointed by the Director of IMD3 will consider
that application.
